Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a permanent, safe sanctuary for abused and abandoned captive-bred wolves and wolf-dogs. The Sanctuary houses over sixty captive-bred wolves and wolf-dogs, most of which were rescued from abusive or neglectful situations.
Since the animals were raised in captivity, they don’t possess the necessary skills to survive in the wild and cannot be released.
The Sanctuary creates the best environment possible for these animals; the high-desert mountains of western New Mexico provide plenty of trees and hills for the wolves and wolf-dogs to explore in enclosures ranging from 5,000 square feet to one acre.
