Red Rock Park
This is by far the best place to take a group for beautiful views in Gallup, without all the hiking involved!
The Pyramid Rock trail is Gallup’s flagship trail and Church Rock Trail leads you to spectacular views of the Church Rock sandstone spires.
As Gallup’s flagship trail, this 3 mile round trip route takes you past amazing rock formations to a summit providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The trail has way-finding signs that describe the geographic, cultural, and historic aspects of the area.
The 2-mile round trip, begins at the Outlaw Trading Post parking lot and leads you to spectacular views of the Church Rock sandstone spires.
Travel 6 miles east on Route 66 (Hwy 118), turn left (north) onto Hwy 566, after .5 mile turn left again into Park Entrance & follow signs to Pyramid Rock Trail or the Outlaw Trading Post.

Red Rock Park Museum
Through interpretive exhibits, the Red Rock Park Museum chronicles the lives and culture of the Ancestral Puebloans as well as the present-day Zuni, Hopi and Navajo.
Gallup North Hogback Trail
The trailhead is just to the northwest of the Red Rock Motorsports area. The gate is always open so just drive on through, watching out for any friendly throttle-twisters and hydrocarbon folks.
High Desert Trail System
The High Desert Trail system is comprised of over 22 miles of trail and is suitable for an afternoon or an all-day epic hike or bike ride.
Gallup is home to over 30 miles of hiking and biking trails that are easily accessible off of Interstate 40 and Route 66.
